Ghost Spider Review

The newest addition to the championship line of TaylorMade putters is the TaylorMade Ghost Spider.  This putter is a combination of the best of two TaylorMade lines, the Ghost and Spider series, the Ghost Spider has several features of both types of putters.  With the successful Ghost line providing several championships, many golf insiders thought that the Spider line would be retired in favor of the Ghosts, but many pro golfers requested a continuance of the Spiders and TaylorMade has provided them with what they requested. Features The TaylorMade Ghost Spider putter combines head construction size along with moveable weight technology for personal head-weight customization.  This construction allows for a high moment of inertia (MOI) and was inspired by the Corza Ghost mallet-sized putter.  Like all TaylorMade clubs, this putter offers a golf ball-white finish, which makes it easy to see against green turf.  The head also has easy-to-see alignment lines and is available in several styles. Benefits The design of this TaylorMade putter solves two common putter problems.  Bouncing, which causes missed putts and difficulty in launching a ball if the loft is too low are both problems notorious to putters.  The Pure Roll engineering allows the putter to provide direct and active contact with the ball.  This Surlyn insert promotes forward spin, improved sound and an enhanced feel. Championship Use At the 2011 U.S. Open, Jason Day used the TaylorMade Ghost Spider to make 45 consecutive bogey-free holes, earning him a tie for second place in the competition.  Day’s runner-up finish is one of the best TaylorMade Putter reviews considering the  winner, Rory McIlroy, became the youngest player to win the U.S. Open, and he did so also using TaylorMade clubs. The new Taylormade Ghost Spider promises to be another successful line of clubs for the company as many reviewers are touting it as one of the best clubs made.  Eagle Golf management offers the TaylorMade Ghost Spider in their pro shops.  To find locations were you can purchase the TaylorMade putter and other fine golf equipment, visit www.eaglegolf.com.
