Eagle Cares
Eagle’s Community Outreach
There are over 5,000 Eagle Golf associates. That’s a huge network of energetic people who want to make a positive impact on their communities across the country.
To whom much is given, much is expected. Our General Managers and the teams at our properties take this phrase to heart. They forge close relationships with local schools, not-for-profits and military bases by volunteering their time, hosting fundraiser events and clinics, and offering discounts on green fees.
Eagle Golf Gives Back to the Next Generation of Golfers at The First Tee™
Eagle Golf is proud to manage Las Vegas Golf Club the home facility of The First Tee of Southern Nevada. Our staff at Las Vegas GC supports this local Chapter by hosting fundraising events, providing weekly instructional clinics, and offering participants enrolled in the Life Skills program an opportunity to hit practice balls and play a round of golf for just $1. Following the success from last year, this summer Eagle is again partnering with The First Tee of Fort Worth to provide Family Golf Lessons and discounts on green fees at Iron Horse and Fossil Creek. The goal of this partnership is to provide the Fort Worth Chapter with two additional access points located north of town to make it easier for local families to get to the golf course for clinics and to learn to play golf together at an affordable price. Eagle Golf also manages Forest Park in partnership with the City of St. Louis, which is the home course of The First Tee of St. Louis.
The First Tee Coaches all play a vital role in creating positive relationships that inspire thousands of young people enrolled in the Life Skills program to set goals and discover their individual potential. And Eagle Golf is happy to support The First Tee’s mission to attract and retain the best coaches possible by offering individuals in The First Tee Coach Program™ a discount on applicable green fees and merchandise at more than 50 of our daily fee golf courses nationwide.
About The First Tee
The First Tee Organization is a nonprofit youth development agency that is a division of the World Golf Foundation. The First Tee’s vision is to provide young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, a core set of life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity, and perseverance. Through The First Tee Golf and Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, making decisions by thinking about the possible consequences, defining and setting goals, and transferring values such as responsibility and sportsmanship from the golf course into their everyday lives.

Outreach
In November 2010 Whitetail Ridge Golf Club cooked and donated a full Thanksgiving meal that was distributed by the Kendall County Food Pantry to 50 local families. In 2011, the Kendall County Food Pantry is partnering with Whitetail Ridge to host its first major fundraising event.
All of Eagle’s golf courses offer “Kids Play Free” programs in an effort to make golf less intimidating and more fun for the next generation. The Family Development Programs available at several Eagle courses make it easy for families to learn to play golf together without breaking the bank.
Las Vegas Golf Club is home to the Southern Nevada First Tee Program, which was founded by the PGA Tour and is the premier junior golf character-development program in the country. The staff supports the chapter through fundraising events, weekly instructional clinics and $1 rounds.
The staff at The Legend at Arrowhead developed an innovative, kid-friendly “Learner Tee” course, shortening the original golf course layout to just 3,300 yards.
Majestic Oaks offers summer junior clinics and is also a big supporter of the Fairway Foundation, a youth golf program that exposes kids to golf that live in downtown Minneapolis.
Brent Sheahan, the GM at Bent Tree Golf Club in Ohio, teaches clinics for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). It’s similar to The First Tee Life Skills program, but specifically designed for children with Down syndrome.
Eagle Golf has several courses located near military bases that host special events for the men and women serving our country. Tallgrass Country Club, near McConnell Air Force Base, is honored to offer preferred memberships to all active and retired military. At London Bridge, active military personnel play golf for free.
